Well friends, the last few weeks have been crazy, and amazing! I had some really shattering news about my surgery, and I fell into a hole of darkness. The shock of the final estimated price from the hospital got me really down.. but I truely know that when we can bear no more, these tender mercies come into our lives and the lord takes it from there. The next day I got some amazing, beautiful, and inspiring news! The hospital portion of the surgery has been reduced dramatically. The surgeons portion remains the same, but I am so incredibly grateful that the hospital decided to help me out! I can't believe that tomorrow is my last day at work, and that friday is the surgery! Please Pray for me, I am extremely nervous, but I am also comforted..
I did all of my lab work yesterday, and got all of the info I need to know going into the surgery.. not gonna lie, some of the information given to me freaked me out.. like the nurse telling me, that at utah valley, this surgery is the most painful to recover from besides the trauma cases they see from car accidents. Real Comforting, lady! She said that on the pain scale of one to ten that most patients recovered from this surgery say that they were at a ten for a good few days. Ya, I kind of wish she wouldn't have told me that either! I'll probably be in the hospital for about three days. But people do this surgery all of the time, and they tell me it was worth it! And that they have their life back.. and that is exactly what I want! So I am going to make it through this, I really would love and appreciate your prayers and good thoughts sent my direction the next couple of days. I need to muster all the strength and courage I can! I'll post updates when I can.
